TV reception troubleshooting

Give us a call if you are having TV reception issues. If you'd like to eliminate some common causes, feel free to use the checklist below.

1. This may seem too obvious but it's always good to double check your power cord and antenna are plugged in. Also, check if any other TVs in the building are working.

2. On your antenna, do you have a box halfway up the pole? That’s the amplifier

3. If so, is it hanging upside down? If it is, it’s likely to be the cause – water damage! The cable ends will need to be re-terminated as well as the amplifier replaced. Give us a call.

4. If there is an amplifier and it still appears firmly attached, do you have a power supply/booster plugged into the wall plate in the house? It needs to be plugged in and turned on to power the amplifier on the pole. Is the power supply warm to touch? That can be an easy indicator that it’s the power supply at fault if it's stone dead cold! We can supply a new one for you.

5. Have you re-tuned the TV?

6. If you have a spare lead, try replacing the fly lead from wall to the TV.

If these haven't fixed your issue, give us a call and we'll have you up and running again in no time.
